Mirik Women Welfare Society leads cleanliness drive in Mirik PHC

MIRIK : Mirik Women Welfare Society led the campaign to clean the Mirik Primary Health Centre, which is reeling under the shortage of cleaning staff. The shortage has led to unattended garbage littered everywhere and weed overgrowth around the hospital premises. The cleaning campaign was led by MWWS president Yanku Rai in the presence of all the society members. The hospital staff including doctors and other officials expressed their happiness with the initiative taken by the society and thanked the members for their work. Meanwhile in a function held after the cleaning campaign, the society also thanked the hospital, particularly BMOH in-charge Dr. Tashi Lama and Dr. Richard Merghineri, for providing support to the nurse training programme organised by the society for local women.
